She devoted much of her time and talent to Christian work being particularly interested in foreign missions and in the spiritual needs of young people about her. Many of the present citizens of Waveland will remember her as the leader of “The Busy Gleaners,” an interdenominational group of young people devoted to the interest of missions and the spiritual advancement of the community. She was a woman of rare charm and personality, beloved by all who knew her. Her last years in Pasadena were attended by much physical suffering but her unswerving love to those about her, unwavering faith in Christ as her Savior, gave her the needed courage and strength for her days. She suffered a fall one week prior to her death and in her frail condition it was not possible for her to long survive the shock and she sank rapidly, dying at her home, 97 N. Besides her immediate family, she leaves two cousins in Waveland, Albert & Dr. Arthur Kleiser, whom she loved as brothers; also many nieces and nephews who,w ith ahost of friends, both in the vicinity and California will mourn her loss.
